We were invited by Breast Cancer Support Group Johor Bahru to put up a stall in their "Bazaar With A Difference" held on Sunday,
28th October, 2007 at the Canteen of Foon Yew High School, Johor Bahru.
This charity bazaar sale was themed as "Bazaar With A Difference" because it was different from the normal bazaar sale as depicted
below:
1. This is an Indoor Bazaar Sale
2. More than 40 participating stalls
3. A very wide array of foods
4. Haircut Servuce
5. Health Awareness Campaign (BSE & Pap Smear)
6. Breast Cancer Awareness Exhibition
7. Exhibition of Antique Cars
8. Colouring Contest for childre
Lion Peggy Loh was appointed as the Organizing Chairperson for our club and she was responsible to arranged for our members to help
in our stall. Lion Edward Lee solicited 100 kg of Sakura fragrance rice and 135 kg of dragon fruits. The allocation of our stall was at No. 30.
Lion Richard Chiang helped to cart the dragon fruits while President Liza Lau brought along the rice. We started from home as early as
8.30 in the morning and sharp at 9.00 am, we had already set up our stall. We were met at the destination by Lion Peggy Loh and her
spouse, Mr Chong Chin Chieu.
Lion Gan Chin Siong came in before 12.00 noon, while Lion Rachel Yap, Lion V. Ravindran, Lion Jims Yong & spouse, Lion Jennifer Su
came in at about 12.30 pm. Lion Rachel Yap also brought along her spouse, Mr Yeong and daughter JingCi.
All our products, rice & dragon fruits, were all priced at RM10.00 and we were very lucky to have sold out all our products at about 1.45pm.
We were the first stall to close shop while others were still struggling. Altogether, we have collected RM 1,052.00 for the Building Fund of
the Breast Cancer Support Group Johor Bahru. It was a good effort and we were proud that we were able to do something good for our
fellow mankind.
