There were also some good samaritans in our midst as Secretary of Lions Club of Johor Jaya, Lion Liu Lam Soon donated RM15.00
worth of Twisties and Lion Sally Lim Huey Keng and friends of Lions Club of Masai distributed 50 goodies bags worth RM380.00

1. Milo
2. Carnation Milk
3. Instant Noodle
4. Various Snacks.
On behalf of the Oganizing Committee, we would like to thank this group of fine people for their generous donation.
All the Lions present helped to serve food to all the orphans of the Home. They then lined up for their own food after all the orphans had
been served. Immediately after the food, at about 5.00 pm., DC Edward Lee took to the mike (thanks to the portable PA system brought by
Lions Club of Desa Cemerlang) and announced the commencement of the project. He first introduced the caretaker of the Home, Ms
Devanesam John to the Lions and later requested her to give a brief history of herself and the home.
Immediately after this speech, DC Edward Lee invited the OC Lion Grace Ng, Treasurer Lion Loh Yoon Meng, Region 8 Chairman Lion
Teo Soo Moo, Region 9 Chairperson, Lion Annie Chi, Z19C Lion Chey Fock Yong, Z20C Lion Anthony Tiah, Z21C Lion Liang Mun Fong,
Z22C Richard Seow and all Presidents and all Lions who were present to present the mock cheque to Ms Devanesam John.
After this presentation, groups of Lions Clubs took ther turns to take a group photograph with Ms Devanesam John.
When this hype of photographs taking activities quietened down, DC Edward Lee called upon Treasurer of this project, Lion Loh Yoon
Meng to present the real cheque to Ms Devanesam John.
The finale of the project was to take a group photographs of the Lions and the inmates together with the Van before we bid farewell.
It was a very memorable event as we felt that we had done something worthwhile to the needy children of the Home.
